Gloves Up Guns Down Non Profit

Gloves Up Guns Down is a nonprofit At-Risk Youth Program offered at Eastside Boxing Club. This program aims to reduce violence, gang involvement, and other risky behaviors among young individuals in the community. By providing a safe and supportive environment, along with structured boxing training, the program aims to empower at-risk youth with essential life skills, discipline, self-confidence, and a positive outlook on their future.

About The Program

The program focuses on youth between the ages of 12 to 18 who come from disadvantaged backgrounds or have experienced various challenges such as poverty, substance abuse, crime, or a lack of positive role models. Through the art of boxing, Gloves Up Guns Down offers an alternative way for these individuals to channel their energy, frustrations, and aggression, teaching them how to effectively manage and control their emotions.

Aside from physical training, the program also offers mentorship and counseling services to provide guidance and support to the participants. Experienced coaches and mentors connect with the youth on a personal level, fostering trust, respect, and helping them develop essential life skills such as discipline, teamwork, goal-setting, and conflict resolution.

Our Mission

Gloves Up Guns Down operates as a nonprofit organization, relying on donations, grants, and sponsorships to sustain its operations. The program is committed to providing all services free of charge, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent any at-risk youth from participating.

Through this At-Risk Youth Program, Eastside Boxing Club’s Gloves Up Guns Down is making a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals, redirecting their energies from violence and crime towards a more positive and successful path.
